My life
Katia Serafini was born on June 7, 1971, in Castiglione del Lago (Perugia), to a factory worker mother and a railway worker father. From an early age, she developed a keen interest in the world of fashion, particularly high-quality knitwear, perhaps partly due to her mother's work as a factory worker who often found herself working at home at night.
At 14, Katia decided to continue her studies in Perugia at the medieval art high school, once housed in the former Convent of San Francesco al Prato, co-located with the Academy of Fine Arts. Every morning for five years, she woke up at dawn to be on time for public transportation to Perugia, while in her free time she often visited Florence, a city that would significantly influence her ideas and vision.
She graduated in 1990, the year she met her husband Stefano Spaccini, who encouraged Katia to pursue her dreams to the fullest, helping her grow the brand, which today stands out worldwide for its excellent quality and meticulous attention to detail.
